BEIJING – December 2, 2009 – Burger King Holdings, Inc., the world's second largest fast food hamburger restaurant chain, today announced the grand opening of its 12,000th restaurant worldwide at the Joy City in Beijing’s busy Xidan area. This is the first BURGER KING® restaurant in Beijing downtown, and represents another step forward in the brand’s growth and development in the Chinese market following its entry into Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Xiamen and Suzhou.
